transfair_lab was originally designed as a research project to evaluate the potential of bias in AI. After the initial establishment of the research team, it became very clear, very fast, that this endeavour has more to offer, than just a few papers. 

We successfully absolved a pre-seed funding phase with ~600k€ public funding from Hessen Agentur. In a joint project with Goethe University Frankfurt, we researched AI assessment strategies, EU AI Act Compliance and the AI-audit interplay. We spun off from spotixx GmbH that still facilitates pre-seed development, growth and synergies.
